KeyDen Privacy Policy

What KeyDen Does

KeyDen is a browser extension that analyzes keyword density on web pages. It counts word frequencies, calculates density percentages for 1-word, 2-word, 3-word, and 4-word phrases, and highlights keywords directly on the page.

Data Collection

KeyDen collects zero data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected
• No text content is stored or transmitted
• No browsing history is tracked
• No analytics or telemetry is used
• No cookies are set
• No third-party services receive any data
• No user accounts exist

How Text Processing Works

When you trigger KeyDen (by clicking the icon, using the right-click menu, or pressing Alt+K), the extension reads the page content locally in your browser. The keyword density analysis happens entirely in the browser's memory. The text is processed in real time and is never saved or transmitted anywhere.

Local Storage

KeyDen uses chrome.storage.local to store:

• Your filter preferences (stop words, hidden content, image alt text toggles)

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab — Allows KeyDen to read the text on the page you are currently viewing. Only activated when you explicitly trigger the extension.
• contextMenus — Adds "Keyword density" to the right-click menu for quick access.
• scripting — Injects the analysis sidebar and keyword highlighting into the current page when you use the extension.
• storage — Stores your filter preferences locally on your device.

External Requests

KeyDen makes no external network requests. All code runs locally within the extension package. No data leaves your browser.

Children's Privacy

KeyDen does not collect any data from any user, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date.
